Symposium BioSynSys 2017. 3rd symposium of the GDR "Biologie de Synthèse et des Systèmes", 18 - 20 October, 2017, in Montpellier (France).

 The spin-off of iSSB Inovactis, founded by two former mSSB students, won the national competition I-Lab 2017 organized each year by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research to encourage the most innovative technologies.

   The European Experience 2016!  The teams iGEM Evry-Genopole and iGEM IONIS have organized together a thrilling meeting week-end, gathering students from all Europe who came to Paris and presented their iGEM project.

  Based on publications in synthetic biology, an independent study (Nov 2015) found that iSSB ranks 3rd lab in Europe and 9th in the world, despite a comparatively small size.

Mohamed Elati is one of the winners of the national call for proposal ITMO Cancer Aviesan-INSERM "Systems Biology and cancer".

logo 24Hchrono Sept. 5, 2015: Julie Zaworski, CIFRE PhD student at iSSB and Deinove, has won the national competition « 24 H chrono de l’entrepreneuriat » organized by the « Association Nationale de la Recherche et de la Technologie » (ANRT) for PhD students having French Cifre (industrial) fellowships.

This competition aims at promoting entrepreneurship awareness. CIFRE doctoral students whose research disciplines are diverse (life sciences, engineering sciences, economic, human and social sciences) get into an entrepreneurial posture for 24 hours non-stop. On 4 and 5 September, 2015, 10 teams of 6-7 CIFRE PhD students, who had never seen each other, worked 24h long to create a new product-based company. Experts and coachs were around to help the teams on different aspects, in particular the business plan. At the end of the 24h, each team presented its product and company in front of 25 experts coming from a huge panel of companies.

Julie and her team « Hematofast », won the 1st price with a new method of alcool detection in the blood. Finalists have been received on November 5th, by Thierry Mandon, the Minister of Higher Education and Research.
